If you send me your question directly, I will answer at
least as quickly as if you post it, and I will post my
response to the newsgroup if warranted without anything
that would identify you as the source.  And I will not
think any less of you.

So before posting, ask yourself whether your classmates
will want to read your question and my response.  If
not, just send it to me at sce@cs.yale.edu instead.
