I wanted to post a quick clarification: there are always ULAs available according to the regular weekly schedule, even during walk-throughs and other sessions. These sessions could make it harder to find ULAs or for us to find you, though, so I wanted to give some tips for that situation!

If you can't find ULA office hours in the regular spot at the front of Room 111: 1) Check Room 115, where we meet on Mondays and Wednesdays at least until 8:30. 2) Check the rest of room 111! We usually share the space with CPSC 323 office hours, so we may not always be in the same spot in the room. We always write "CS 223" on a whiteboard, so check all the whiteboards on the sides of the room as well.

If you are in the right place but don't see a ULA who is free, you can write your name on the whiteboard queue. If you have an appointment (for face-to-face grading or otherwise), we recommend writing your name on the whiteboard and indicating that you have an appointment. A ULA will come to you when they are free, and writing your name on the board helps us know that you have arrived! This is particularly helpful during walk-throughs when it is harder for the ULAs to call someone's name to see if they are present.

tl;dr we want to make office hours as easy to navigate as possible, check all the whiteboards in room 111 (and 115) to find where we are, and help us find you for appointments by writing your name on the board and indicating you have an appointment. I hope that helps!!
