  Additional information:
Seems to be a bug in an update of VS code.

You can direct the student to me regarding this issue. This is a known
problem and a handful of students have reported this issue over last
few weeks. I'll put the resolutions that we offer the students that
have seemed to work and can repeat the steps to the student if needed.
The most common solution that has worked is reinstalling Visual Studio
  Code. Preferably, an older version.
We ask the students to check if they are on the VPN.
Another option is adding the student's SSH public key to the zoo
nodes.(No one has used this option yet)

If these suggestions do not resolve the problem, please
send mail to cs.support@yale.edu .
