Not a TA, but since the spec says that you only need to reap zombies at least once per call to process, either is valid as long as you reap. The way you did it, I assume u reap before calling sleep 2 (which is valid as per the spec). The staff solution seems to reap after sleep 2 which is also valid (as per the spec). I will agree it is kinda confusing though.
